Work with a team to develop single page applications supporting modern network application performance management technologies in a fast paced and agile environment where you’ll be making meaningful contributions day one. The primary software platform runs on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/2012, and newer.


  • Work with your team to become best in class in quality, innovation, and time to market while creating the next generation of Viavi’s Network Performance Management and Diagnostics (NPMD) platform
  • Solve complex problems and implement designs using JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS
  • Actively contribute ideas for product improvements and solutions
  • Show a passion for continued learning.  Stay abreast of new technology and trends
  • Apply sound engineering principles for highly maintainable and testable software
  • Work closely with Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) to facilitate functional software validation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Minimum 3 years writing and unit testing JavaScript that is object-oriented and extensible
  • Minimum 2 years Angular
  • Minimum 2 years writing HTML5 that is semantic and well-formed
  • Minimum 3 years writing CSS3 that is scalable and modular
  • Minimum 3 years testing and debugging both new and legacy constructs
  • Minimum 1 year’s experiencein client-side performance
  • Minimum 1 year’s experiencein browser capabilities and compatibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Responsive Web Design
  • Proficient at utilizing jQuery as a UI Framework
  • Demonstrated proficiency with RESTful API creation and consumption
  • Experienced in UI design with an attention to detail
  • Proficiency with modern version control tools and processes
  • A desire to create reusable and maintainable code
  • Critical thinking and the ability to structure elegant solutions to difficult problems
  • Strong focus on user experience and workflow in interface designs
  • Experience with LESS CSS Preprocessor
  • Working knowledge of multiple data formats, including XML and JSON
  • Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP is beneficial
  • Experience with BEM naming conventions
  • Knowledgeable about 508 / accessibility guidelines
